Suppose you have successfully installed umdex v1.00, then
(1) copy SearchDeDup.java into /umdex_v1.00/src/edu/umd/email
(2) copy SearchDeDup.tar.gz into /umdex_v1.00/build/edu/umd/email, then unzip and extract it over there.
(3) replace the old umd_email.jar with this umd_email.jar under /umdex_v1.00/lib
(4) replace search_email.bat and search_email.sh under /umdex_v1.00
